Overnight stays in hotel establishments increased by 11.1% in May compared to the same month in 2023.
The Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), Spanish National Statistics Institute, has published the data on the Hotel Tourism Situation (EOH/IPH/IRSH). May 2024.
In May 2024, overnight stays in hotel establishments increased by 11.1% as compared with the same month in 2023, reaching 35.7 million. The Hotel Price Index increased by 8.1%, and the average turnover per occupied room was 111.7 euros, up 9.2%. The main destinations for residents in Spain were Andalucía, Cataluña and the Valencia, while non-residents preferred the Balearic Islands, Cataluña and the Canary Islands. Hotel occupancy stood at 61.7%.
