Hotel and extra-hotel establishments registered 8.9 million overnight stays in July 2024, representing an increase of 4.2% with respect to those registered in the same period in 2023. Overnight stays by foreigners increased by 4.8%, while those by residents in Spain increased by 1.1%.

The number of travellers entering these establishments amounted to 1,255,744, 3.5% more than in 2023. Foreigners increased by 5.6% and residents in Spain decreased by 2.2%. The largest number of travellers are residents of Great Britain, followed by residents of Spain and residents of Germany.

The occupancy rate for rooms or flats was 78%. The island with the highest occupancy rate per room or flat was Lanzarote with 81.7%.

The average monthly room rate (ADR) was 118.6 euros per day. The revenue per available room (RevPAR) stood at 92.5 euros per day.

The total revenue received in all hotel and extra-hotel establishments stood at 442 million euros, which represents an increase of 12.4% compared to July 2023.
