Hotel and extra-hotel establishments registered 8 million overnight stays in September 2024, representing an increase of 1.85% with respect to those registered in the same period in 2023. Overnight stays by foreigners increased by 3.61%, while those by residents in Spain decreased by 7.72%.

The number of travellers entering these establishments amounted to 1,110,097, 0.52% more than in 2023. Foreigners increased by 3.77% and residents in Spain decreased by 9.17%. The largest number of travellers are residents of Great Britain, followed by residents of Spain and residents of Germany.

The occupancy rate per room or flat was 83.66%. The island with the highest occupancy rate per room or flat was Lanzarote with 88.63%.

The average monthly room rate (ADR) was 111.56 euros per day. The revenue per available room (RevPAR) was 93.33 euros per day.

The total income received in all hotel and extra-hotel establishments stood at 433 million euros, which represents an increase of 11.67% compared to September 2023.
