The number of tourists who arrived by air to the Canary Islands in June 2024 was 1,257,228. This represents an increase of 102,304 tourists (+8.86%) compared to the same month in 2023. Foreign residents accounted for 1,080,561 of these tourists, a 10.42% increase from the same period last year, while residents of Spain accounted for 176,667 tourists, a 0.21% annual increase.
Tourists from the United Kingdom represented the largest number of arrivals (507,202), making up 40.3% of the total tourists. They were followed by tourists residing in the rest of Spanish territory (176,667), representing 14.1% of the total, and residents of Germany (153,461), accounting for 12.2% of the total tourists received.
The island that received the most tourists was Tenerife (522,461), followed by Gran Canaria, with 290,642 tourists.
