The Canary Islands was the preferred destination, with more than 2.2 million overnight stays and an 85.9% occupancy rate.<\/p><p data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:235\"><strong>Campsites:<\/strong> Overnight stays in campsites increased by 11.2%, with a 15.1% increase in those of residents. The Valencian Community was the preferred destination, with more than 729 thousand overnight stays and a 72.3% occupancy rate.<\/p><p data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:237\"><strong>Rural tourism accommodation:<\/strong> Overnight stays in rural tourism accommodation decreased by 5.1%, with a 5.6% decrease in those of non-residents. Castilla y Le\u00f3n was the preferred destination, with more than 80 thousand overnight stays.<\/p><p data-sourcepos=\"11:1-11:228\"><strong>Hostels:<\/strong> Overnight stays in hostels registered an annual increase of 39.2%, with a 50.6% increase in those of non-residents.
