These companies, totaling 2.4 million, employ 11.3 million people, representing 8.6% of all employees in the non-financial business economy and 20.5% of the services sector.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"5:1-5:234\">Despite its importance in terms of employment, tourism&#8217;s contribution to net turnover and value added is lower.
