Hotels and non-hotel accommodations reported 7.5 million overnight stays in June 2024, representing a 4.36% increase compared to the same month of the previous year. Overnight stays by foreign tourists rose by 4.6%, while those by residents in Spain grew by 3%.<\/p>\n

The number of travelers staying in these establishments reached 1,123,374, an increase of 2.77% compared to 2023. Foreign visitors experienced a growth of 5.63%, while residents in Spain showed a decrease of 5%. The largest number of tourists came from Great Britain, followed by residents in Spain and Germany.<\/p>\n

The occupancy rate for rooms or apartments stood at 75.75%. The island with the highest occupancy rate for rooms or apartments was Lanzarote, reaching 80.82%.<\/p>\n

The average daily rate per room (ADR) was 100.62 euros per day. The revenue per available room (RevPAR) was calculated at 76.22 euros per day.<\/p>\n

Total revenues obtained by all hotel and non-hotel establishments reached 348 million euros, marking an increase of 11.61% compared to June 2023.<\/p>\n

A detailed analysis shows that the tourism industry has performed solidly, with a notable increase in overnight stays and revenues, despite the decrease in the number of Spanish residents choosing to stay in these establishments. This growth in figures reflects the continued appeal of Spanish destinations to international tourists, especially those from Great Britain, who remain the main source market.<\/p>\n

The increase in rates and high occupancy in places like Lanzarote also indicate higher demand and the sector’s ability to maintain competitive prices. Overall, these data suggest a recovery and strengthening of the tourism sector, highlighting the importance of continuously improving offerings and services to maintain this positive trend in the future.<\/p>\n

The comparison of revenues and occupancy rates with the previous year underscores the sector’s resilience. While there are areas needing attention, such as the decline in domestic travelers, the overall outlook is optimistic.
