Likewise, 753,441 operations were handled, 7.9% more than in 2023, and 313,131 tons of cargo were transported, an increase of 22%.<\/p><p>In addition, all-time records were broken at several airports, including Barcelona-El Prat, Valencia, Ibiza, and Menorca, among others, reinforcing the strength of Spain&#8217;s post-pandemic air traffic recovery.<\/p><p>In terms of cargo operations, Adolfo Su\u00e1rez Madrid-Barajas airport handled the most cargo, with 60,851 tons, 24.9% more than in August 2023.
