According to data from the Tourist Expenditure Survey published by the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC), visitors to the archipelago spent a total of <strong data-start=\"332\" data-end=\"350\">\u20ac6.175 billion<\/strong> during the fourth quarter of 2024, representing a <strong data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"417\">10% increase<\/strong> compared to the same period in the previous year.<\/p><p data-start=\"471\" data-end=\"736\">The average daily expenditure per tourist reached <strong data-start=\"521\" data-end=\"532\">\u20ac176.07<\/strong>, surpassing the <strong data-start=\"549\" data-end=\"560\">\u20ac168.73<\/strong> recorded in Q4 2023. Swiss tourists were the highest spenders, with <strong data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"648\">\u20ac206.89 per day<\/strong>, while visitors from <strong data-start=\"670\" data-end=\"689\">Italy and Spain<\/strong> spent less than <strong data-start=\"706\" data-end=\"722\">\u20ac155 per day<\/strong> on average.<\/p><p data-start=\"738\" data-end=\"1071\">Among the key source markets, travelers from the <strong data-start=\"787\" data-end=\"840\">United Kingdom, Germany, and the Nordic countries<\/strong> contributed the most to the total expenditure.
