This figure represents a <strong data-start=\"561\" data-end=\"576\">2% increase<\/strong> compared to the same month in 2024, which means <strong data-start=\"625\" data-end=\"649\">33,102 more tourists<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"652\" data-end=\"871\">The growth is mainly driven by <strong data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"708\">international tourism<\/strong>, which accounted for <strong data-start=\"730\" data-end=\"753\">90% of all arrivals<\/strong> and saw an increase of <strong data-start=\"777\" data-end=\"786\">2.67%<\/strong>. On the other hand, the number of tourists residing in Spain <strong data-start=\"848\" data-end=\"870\">decreased by 4.56%<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"873\" data-end=\"1126\">The <strong data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"895\">United Kingdom<\/strong> remains the most important source market, accounting for <strong data-start=\"953\" data-end=\"976\">31% of all tourists<\/strong> (506,474 people). <strong data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1006\">Germany<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1011\" data-end=\"1047\">residents from the rest of Spain<\/strong> followed, contributing <strong data-start=\"1071\" data-end=\"1080\">16.5%<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1085\" data-end=\"1093\">7.7%<\/strong> of total arrivals, respectively.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1128\" data-end=\"1355\">By island, <strong data-start=\"1139\" data-end=\"1151\">Tenerife<\/strong> was the most visited destination with <strong data-start=\"1190\" data-end=\"1210\">648,255 tourists<\/strong>, representing <strong data-start=\"1225\" data-end=\"1255\">4 out of every 10 visitors<\/strong>. It was followed by <strong data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1292\">Gran Canaria<\/strong> (27.5%), <strong data-start=\"1302\" data-end=\"1315\">Lanzarote<\/strong> (17.2%), and <strong data-start=\"1329\" data-end=\"1346\">Fuerteventura<\/strong> (14.2%).<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1357\" data-end=\"1606\">The report also highlights that <strong data-start=\"1389\" data-end=\"1410\">70.6% of tourists<\/strong> stayed on the islands for <strong data-start=\"1437\" data-end=\"1463\">between 1 and 7 nights<\/strong>, while only <strong data-start=\"1476\" data-end=\"1511\">2% stayed for more than 31 days<\/strong>. The main reason for traveling to the Canary Islands continued to be <strong data-start=\"1581\" data-end=\"1605\">leisure and holidays<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1608\" data-end=\"1896\">Nearly <strong data-start=\"1615\" data-end=\"1639\">half of the tourists<\/strong> (49.1%) arrived with a <strong data-start=\"1663\" data-end=\"1682\">package holiday<\/strong>, meaning they booked at least transport and accommodation together as a single service.
