This data comes from the <strong data-start=\"485\" data-end=\"517\">Tourist Accommodation Survey<\/strong> conducted by the <strong data-start=\"535\" data-end=\"585\">Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC)<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"837\">The decline was most notable among domestic travelers, with overnight stays by residents of Spain dropping <strong data-start=\"695\" data-end=\"705\">14.93%<\/strong>. In contrast, international tourism \u2014 which accounts for nearly 9 out of every 10 hotel stays \u2014 saw a milder decrease of <strong data-start=\"827\" data-end=\"836\">3.54%<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"839\" data-end=\"1199\">In total, <strong data-start=\"849\" data-end=\"874\">1.24 million tourists<\/strong> stayed in Canary Islands accommodations in March, representing a <strong data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"949\">3.32%<\/strong> drop from the previous year. However, despite the decrease in visitor numbers, the financial performance of the sector was positive: hotels and other accommodations generated <strong data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1155\">\u20ac558.06 million in revenue<\/strong>, marking a <strong data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1182\">4% increase<\/strong> over March 2024.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1201\" data-end=\"1479\">The <strong data-start=\"1205\" data-end=\"1245\">average daily rate per occupied room<\/strong> stood at <strong data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1266\">\u20ac132.44<\/strong>, while the <strong data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1308\">revenue per available room<\/strong> \u2014 regardless of whether it was occupied \u2014 reached <strong data-start=\"1359\" data-end=\"1370\">\u20ac115.16<\/strong>.
