According to the latest data from the Canary Islands Statistics Institute (ISTAC), the number of overnight stays in hotel and non-hotel accommodations in April increased by <strong data-start=\"446\" data-end=\"455\">1.23%<\/strong> compared to the same month in 2024, reaching <strong data-start=\"501\" data-end=\"524\">7.77 million nights<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"527\" data-end=\"791\">This growth was largely driven by domestic tourism, with overnight stays by residents of Spain increasing by <strong data-start=\"636\" data-end=\"645\">9.93%<\/strong>. Meanwhile, overnight stays by international tourists \u2014 who account for nearly 9 out of every 10 hotel nights \u2014 also rose slightly, by <strong data-start=\"781\" data-end=\"790\">0.25%<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"793\" data-end=\"962\">A total of <strong data-start=\"804\" data-end=\"829\">1.19 million tourists<\/strong> stayed in hotel and non-hotel establishments across the Canary Islands during April, representing a <strong data-start=\"930\" data-end=\"948\">7.16% increase<\/strong> year-on-year.<\/p><p data-start=\"964\" data-end=\"1104\">The <strong data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"986\">occupancy rate<\/strong> for rooms and apartments stood at <strong data-start=\"1021\" data-end=\"1031\">75.61%<\/strong>, with <strong data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1051\">Lanzarote<\/strong> registering the highest occupancy among the islands.<\/p><p data-start=\"1106\" data-end=\"1454\">Tourism revenue also showed strong performance. Hotels and apartments in the Canary Islands generated <strong data-start=\"1208\" data-end=\"1227\">\u20ac447.87 million<\/strong> in April, up <strong data-start=\"1241\" data-end=\"1251\">13.31%<\/strong> compared to the same period in 2024. The <strong data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1321\">average daily rate (ADR)<\/strong> per occupied room was <strong data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1355\">\u20ac128.12<\/strong>, while the <strong data-start=\"1367\" data-end=\"1406\">revenue per available room (RevPAR)<\/strong> \u2014 regardless of occupancy \u2014 reached <strong data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1453\">\u20ac96.87<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1456\" data-end=\"1700\">In terms of employment, <strong data-start=\"1480\" data-end=\"1495\">70,982 jobs<\/strong> were recorded in the <strong data-start=\"1517\" data-end=\"1555\">1,294 accommodation establishments<\/strong> surveyed.
