This growth was driven mainly by <strong data-start=\"467\" data-end=\"488\">Spanish residents<\/strong>, whose overnight stays rose by <strong data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"527\">13%<\/strong>, while those by <strong data-start=\"544\" data-end=\"561\">non-residents<\/strong> increased by <strong data-start=\"575\" data-end=\"583\">4.5%<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"586\" data-end=\"880\">Due to the calendar shift of <strong data-start=\"615\" data-end=\"625\">Easter<\/strong>, which fell in April in 2025 (compared to March in 2024), it\u2019s useful to assess March and April together. Combined, overnight stays decreased slightly by <strong data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"788\">0.4%<\/strong> year-on-year (a <strong data-start=\"805\" data-end=\"813\">1.4%<\/strong> drop among residents and a <strong data-start=\"841\" data-end=\"849\">0.1%<\/strong> increase among non-residents).<\/p><p data-start=\"882\" data-end=\"1136\">From a profitability standpoint, the <strong data-start=\"919\" data-end=\"947\">average daily rate (ADR)<\/strong> rose to <strong data-start=\"956\" data-end=\"984\">\u20ac116.6 per occupied room<\/strong>, which represents a <strong data-start=\"1005\" data-end=\"1013\">5.6%<\/strong> increase compared to April 2024. Meanwhile, the <strong data-start=\"1062\" data-end=\"1101\">revenue per available room (RevPAR)<\/strong> reached <strong data-start=\"1110\" data-end=\"1119\">\u20ac78.1<\/strong>, up by <strong data-start=\"1127\" data-end=\"1135\">7.2%<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1138\" data-end=\"1421\">Hotel prices also increased, as the <strong data-start=\"1174\" data-end=\"1195\">Hotel Price Index<\/strong> (HPI) rose by <strong data-start=\"1210\" data-end=\"1231\">6.9% year-on-year<\/strong>. The largest price increase was seen in <strong data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1325\">two- and three-star silver establishments (10.7%)<\/strong>, while the <strong data-start=\"1337\" data-end=\"1365\">Principality of Asturias<\/strong> recorded the highest regional price growth (<strong data-start=\"1410\" data-end=\"1419\">15.7%<\/strong>).<\/p><p data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1728\">In terms of destinations, <strong data-start=\"1449\" data-end=\"1502\">Andalusia, Catalonia, and the Valencian Community<\/strong> were the top choices for Spanish travelers. For foreign visitors, <strong data-start=\"1569\" data-end=\"1624\">Canary Islands, Catalonia, and the Balearic Islands<\/strong> led the way. <strong data-start=\"1638\" data-end=\"1650\">Mallorca<\/strong> was the most visited tourist area, with over <strong data-start=\"1696\" data-end=\"1727\">3.4 million overnight stays<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"1953\">Among source markets, <strong data-start=\"1752\" data-end=\"1786\">the United Kingdom and Germany<\/strong> accounted for <strong data-start=\"1801\" data-end=\"1820\">23.1% and 17.9%<\/strong> of all non-resident overnight stays, respectively. <strong data-start=\"1872\" data-end=\"1912\">France, the United States, and Italy<\/strong> followed, with <strong data-start=\"1928\" data-end=\"1952\">9.0%, 5.2%, and 4.4%<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1955\" data-end=\"2331\">The <strong data-start=\"1959\" data-end=\"1977\">occupancy rate<\/strong> stood at <strong data-start=\"1987\" data-end=\"1996\">59.6%<\/strong>, a <strong data-start=\"2000\" data-end=\"2008\">5.2%<\/strong> annual increase. <strong data-start=\"2026\" data-end=\"2046\">Balearic Islands<\/strong> recorded the highest overall occupancy (<strong data-start=\"2087\" data-end=\"2096\">71.9%<\/strong>), while <strong data-start=\"2105\" data-end=\"2118\">Lanzarote<\/strong> led among tourist areas with <strong data-start=\"2148\" data-end=\"2157\">75.8%<\/strong> occupancy.
