The archipelago welcomed <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"343\">18,386,274 tourists<\/b>, a <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"366\">3.48% increase<\/b> on the previous year, while total tourism spending reached <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"440\">\u20ac23.185 billion<\/b>, up by <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"463\">3.91%<\/b>, according to figures from the Canary Islands Statistics Institute (ISTAC).<\/p><p data-path-to-node=\"5\">Sector growth is increasingly supported by higher spend per visitor and improved prices and business margins, rather than simply a rise in arrivals. This consolidates a shift in the model towards higher value-added segments.<\/p><h5 data-path-to-node=\"6\">Higher Revenue with Less Pressure on Capacity<\/h5><p data-path-to-node=\"7\">During 2025, <b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"13\">99 million overnight stays<\/b> were recorded (a <b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"57\">1.22% decrease<\/b>), and the average length of stay dropped slightly to <b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"125\">6.94 days<\/b>. This reflects a demand that is more contained in duration but possesses a higher spending capacity. <b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"236\">RevPAR<\/b> (Revenue Per Available Room) grew by <b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"280\">6.52% to \u20ac104.53<\/b>, highlighting a clear improvement in hotel profitability.<\/p><p data-path-to-node=\"8\">In the fourth quarter, tourism spending again showed strength, reaching <b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"72\">\u20ac6.444 billion (+4.35%)<\/b>, despite arrivals increasing by only <b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"133\">0.31%<\/b>.<\/p><h5 data-path-to-node=\"9\">Foreign Tourism Sustains Growth<\/h5><p data-path-to-node=\"10\">International visitors accounted for <b data-path-to-node=\"10\" data-index-in-node=\"37\">89%<\/b> of the total, with <b data-path-to-node=\"10\" data-index-in-node=\"60\">16.3 million foreign tourists<\/b> remaining the primary economic engine of the destination.
